For all beginner gunsmiths among our readers, and for the more experienced gunsmiths as well, if they’d like to double check their technique or compare methods, here is our preferred way to install a free float tube. As long as you follow these steps carefully and prepare all the tools you need in advance, the process of installing these tubes is safe and pretty much user friendly.

Free float tubes are an essential part of any hand guard of rifles belonging to the AR series. While the rifles don’t usually come with a tube already installed, the wide majority of users (especially if they have a little gunsmithing skills themselves) like to install a free float handguard in order to make the rifle safer and shooting it smoother.
The process is also just as much about precision, beyond the improved safety: any fluctuations and inconsistencies in the external pressure placed on the rifle’s barrel results in imprecise shootings and a decreased accuracy. In an effort to stabilize that external pressure on the barrel, gunsmiths start any planned AR 15 modifications with installing an AR 15 free float handguard as the first priority.
In order to install free float tubes to AR rifles, you don’t need to be an expert and not even a certified beginner gunsmith. Any amateur gun enthusiast or simple gun owner is qualified enough to complete this easy installation process, as long as they take their time and follow the instructions carefully. Our following steps are made with the example of a AR 15 free float installation in mind, but most other types of AR rifles can be modified in exactly the same manner as well.
First of all, gather everything you need on your work table (bench). Besides the rifle you intend to modify and the AR 15 free float tube you’ll install, you will also need the following: an AR upper receiver block, a bench block, and a barrel nut wrench (for screwing and unscrewing the barrel nut).
To start the AR 15 free float installation, use the upper receiver block to keep all rifle components in place while you work (and while still in the vice). Carefully remove the handguards, and then the flash hider. Carefully drive out the tapered pins which hold the rifle’s Gas Block in place, and then remove the gas block itself (you may need to grease it and slide it off).
Use the barrel nut wrench to remove the delta ring, in order to allow the barrel to now slide in and out of the upper easily.
Take the tube and put the barrel nut over the barrel. Then, screw it onto the rifle’s upper and then index the gas tube hole on it in order to be a good match for the gas tube hole on the receiver.
Time to actually screw your free float tube Don’t forget to also torque it down. Then put the gas block back in place and make sure you don’t tighten it too much (you don’t want it to bind). It’s best if you test this ideal tightness of the screw beforehand.
Drive the tapered pins (which you removed in the beginning) back in, from the correct position in order to assembly your AR 15 rifle back. That’s it, it’s done, enjoy your improved free float handguard!
What to Watch Out For:
Don’t be tempted to replace the installation of the tube with attaching a sling or bipod to the barrel of your AR rifle (or to the handguard), as that will only affect the accuracy even further.
If it is your first time installing free float tubes, make sure you read the instructions carefully and also gather all the necessary equipment and tools on your work table before you actually start.
As a final note, rest assured that the process is easier than it may seem at a first glance if you haven’t done it before. Why get a Free float rail?
A good free float rail is a GREAT upgrade for any AR-15 (that doesn’t already have one). The best thing about free float rails is they reduce inaccuracy. Notice I didn’t say they “increase accuracy”. There’s a very good reason for that.
Non-free float rails put the handguard in contact with the barrel. Whenever you apply pressure to the handguard, that same pressure is also applied to the barrel. The barrel guides the bullet, so anything that moves the barrel will also change the path of the bullet.
Simple right?
The trouble is, the barrel probably won’t be affected the same way every time. If the barrel is pushed in a different direction every shot, then the bullet will be too. That leads to inaccuracy. Inaccuracy is the path to the Dark Side. Inaccuracy leads to misses, misses lead to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate, leads to… new anti-gun laws…?

Anyway, getting back on track.
A free float rail helps by making sure nothing touches the barrel. (Well, except the gas block. But it doesn’t affect the way the barrel moves so you can safely ignore it for accuracy purposes.) Because nothing touches the barrel while the rifle is firing, you can get the greatest possible accuracy.
The other big advantage is having a place to hang “stuff” on your rifle.

Picatinny doesn’t fare well by comparison. It’s strong and is the leading way to mount optics, but they’re heavy and often have edges that can take the skin off your hands. They’re still the most popular way to mount sights/optics though, so having enough on a rail to mount Back Up Iron Sights is good.

The installation fee might be charged even if the home you're buying service at has existing Comcast service, and even if you order Internet speeds lower than those purchased by the current occupant. That means the fee is charged even when Comcast doesn't have to make any upgrades at the house or apartment you're moving into. Internet speed makes no difference, as the fee may be charged whether you purchase 15Mbps downloads or gigabit service.
'We can't offer self-install kits for residences that we already serve with an existing customer,' a Comcast spokesperson told us. Comcast said it requires professional installations for 'complex' cases.
Bundle up to avoid the fee
You can avoid the installation fee by purchasing certain bundles that include both TV and Internet, but the fee is often mandatory if you buy only TV service or broadband individually. The $60 or $90 fee is also charged when you buy phone service only or a 'double-play' package of phone service and broadband.
We tested this by entering addresses into Comcast's online sign-up system and going through most of the process of signing up for service. In cases where Comcast requires the fee, we were unable to get to the 'Submit Order' page unless we scheduled a 'professional installation' and submitted credit card information. Getting one of Comcast's self-install kits wasn't even an option in these cases.

The fee isn't always required. A Comcast spokesperson provided us with five addresses in different states where Comcast's online system offers the option of a free self-install kit:
When asked why free self-install kits are available for these addresses, Comcast told us, 'These are all homes for sale in our footprint that previously had Comcast services.'
But our tests of Ars staff addresses indicate there are at least two common scenarios in which you'd have to pay the fee. If you live in a house in Comcast's territory but currently subscribe to something else, like Verizon FiOS, our tests indicate that you have to agree to pay the installation fee in order to switch to Comcast.

Comcast's fees vary so much by geographic location and bundle that we can't be sure that these general guidelines will hold true in every case. But it's clear that there are multiple circumstances in which Comcast will not allow new customers to order service online unless they agree to a pricey installation, even when they have their own modem and could plug it in themselves.

I was able to schedule installation appointments and enter credit card numbers in order to sign up for service at homes where the current resident subscribes to Comcast. Hitting the 'Submit Order' button would have charged my card $50 immediately, enough to cover the first monthly payment of $30 and part of the installation fee.
I didn't actually click the 'Submit Order' button because I wanted to avoid credit card charges and a confusing situation with Comcast installers. But once I pointed this out to the Comcast spokesperson, the company stopped denying that it would be impossible to sign up for service at these homes without talking to a Comcast agent.
In the ensuing days, Comcast's automated system sent me two followup emails urging me to complete my order before I unsubscribed from the messages—I was never told that I had to talk to a Comcast agent in order to set up service.
The Comcast spokesperson told us that installation fees vary by market and on whether the company has a promotion running.
Comcast also told us that installation fees may be refunded when it turns out that no special installation was required. But it's clear that the Comcast website often forces customers to schedule a professional installation and agree to the fee in order to complete an order.
Once you've agreed to the fee and paid a deposit, actually getting a refund could be tricky. Because the default setting is a required payment, customers may not even realize it's possible to get a refund.

You then need to train your Pokémon, capture new ones and level them up so that they are fit for battle. Pokémon FireRed does not screw around and I forgot how difficult the first Pokémon game was. I found the gym leaders here far more challenging than in the other Game Boy Advance Pokémon games.This difficulty may take a while to get used to, but it just forces you to be a better trainer and to go and grind and make your Pokémon stronger. The game is rather basic in comparison to the four other Pokémon games on the Game Boy Advance that came before so I would have really liked to have seen them add in the contests here.
Kanto Looks Pretty
This is a remake of a game from 1996 that was on the original Game Boy and I think they did a pretty solid job in terms of the game’s presentation. I will say that it does not look as good as Ruby and Sapphire, but it is as you would expect a leap from Pokémon Red on the original Game Boy.
Things just have a bit more polish to them and while a little on the basic side, I must admit that I do like this as it gives the game a bit of an old school charm when in comparison to the other Pokémon Game Boy Advance games.
For those who played the original Pokémon games on the Game Boy. Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance is a great trip down memory lane. It may play it pretty safe in terms of “new features”, but I think that this is a solid remake and probably the best way you can experience the original Pokémon games.
